Brick Health

Request for Proposal

Develop a student-led project that unites creative skill with strategic thinking for a chance to be elevated, supported, and showcased as part of Ringling’s Powered by Business program.

Concept

An exhibition providing visitors with a unique and immersive experience that explores the connection between mental health and play, using Lego and educational content to promote overall well-being and positive mental health practices.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The Brick Health Exhibition was developed through the lens of project management, with all
phases of the project outlined in
a comprehensive Master Project Management Plan before execution.

CREATIVE OUTLET

01

By surveying the students at Ringling College of Art and Design, we found that brick play can be a useful tool for enhancing creativity.

STRESS REDUCTION

02

According to Melissa Lapides, a California-based licensed psychotherapist, "Using Lego as an adult can be great to reduce stress and anxiety.”

MINDFULNESS TOOL

03

Brick play is a good way to center your mind on the present rather
than dwell on future problems or possible anxieties.

Through primary and secondary research, the Brick Health team was able to build a foundation on which the exhibition messaging and goals could be built brick by brick.

BRANDING

By building a comprehensive branding package, any form of
media and promotional material related to the exhibition will be instantly recognizable.

MARKETING

The Brick Health campaign is designed to launch two months prior to the opening of the exhibition. Included within the plan are: guest speakers, workshops, and a more specific campaign that communicates messages of stress relief through play.

BRICK BY BRICK HEALTH

The Brick by Brick Health campaign
is anchored by three key insights discovered through our research. Here are examples of how the insights would be visually conveyed through social media.

EXHIBITION DESIGN

The Brick Health exhibition is designed to immerse guests in color and the sound of little plastic bricks clacking against each other. The gallery becomes a space for play and creativity where students and guests can leave their worries at the door.

Stud Wall

The brick stud wall allows guests to display their artworks on the wall as if it were is a museum.
